Bullying/Harassment Resources

The HCPSS is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for all students.  Preventing bullying is an important part of this goal.

Our schools provide a variety of initiatives to teach students, families and staff about bully prevention. Through character education programs, such as Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Developmental Assets, students learn conflict resolution and assertiveness skills while further developing empathy and respect. Professional development for staff and information provided for families also assist us in our efforts to keep students safe from bullying and harassment.

If you believe your child is being bullied, please refer to the Student/Parent Handbook available on the website or at school. In addition, please be sure to complete a Bullying, Harassment or Intimidation Form.  Completed forms should be submitted to an administrator in person, by mail or electronically by e-mail. The administrator will investigate within 2 school days of receiving the form and implement corrective actions as outlined on the BHI Incident School Investigation Form and the Student Code of Conduct.

You can choose to report bullying and other unsafe behaviors through HCPSS Sprigeo, an online reporting system.  All information sent through the Sprigeo system goes directly to selected central office staff who will then send the report to our administrators through a secure online connection.

By working together, we can prevent bullying.
