Immunizations
A walk-in immunization clinic will be held at the Howard County Health Department on Thursday, September 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• K-5th may get their varicella vaccine
• 7th -12th may get Tdap, MCV4, HPV, or MenB (16 or older)
• Students eligible for VFC can receive ANY additional vaccines needed for school

Hearing and Vision Screening
On Tuesday, September 24 the Health Department will be at HCMS to hold a Hearing and Vision Screening for all 8th grade students, students new to the state of Maryland and students referred by their teacher.  If your child wears glasses, please be certain they wear them on screening day. If you do not want your child screened for any reason, please contact the health room at 410-313-6934.

Flu Vaccines
Students at HCMS are able to receive free flu shots at school this year on Thursday, October 17. You can register your student online at www.vaccineconsent.com or with a paper consent that will be coming home with your student next week.

Dental Clinic
A free Dental Clinic will be held for students at HCMS on Monday, October 14. Consent forms went home with your student on the first day of school. We have more forms in the health room if needed. Please complete and return the form if you would like your child to receive free dental care. You can also sign up online at www.myschooldentist.com.
