Please take a moment to carefully read through the message below about our new backpack procedures
and continued personal device policy.
- Backpacks will be placed in lockers after arrival.
- Students will be permitted to go to their lockers at the following times: arrival, dismissal, before and after lunches.
- Students will be given opportunities during the first week to "perfect" opening their locker.
- Students will be allowed to carry a small purse, fanny pack, or belt bag.
- Suggested and permitted carrying cases include:
- Case it Zipper Binder
- Case it Mighty
- Trapper Keeper
- Chromebook protective hard shell case
- Protective sleeve
- Shockproof covers
All of these options can hold a few writing utensils as well. Students should bring their Chromebook fully charged each day, along with their chosen carrying case to support their learning. If their laptop needs to be charged, teachers will assist with charging them in the classroom. Teachers will also have a sign in their window indicating if it is a “tech day” and will do their best to post this on Canvas in advance.
The HCPSS Student Personal Device Use is still in effect No cell phones, iPads, AirPods, or Apple Watches (or similar smart devices for notifications) are permitted during the school day. This policy begins on the first day of school.
