The HCMS Music Boosters will hold a restaurant fundraiser at Chipotle in the Columbia Mall on Tuesday, October 15 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Bring the attached flier or show it on your smartphone and 33% of the proceeds will be donated to the music booster program. Thank you for your support!

We are excited to offer Teach the Future an after school math tutoring program. Students from Atholton High School's National Honor Society program will be offering academic support to our students. The tutoring will be held every Thursdays from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in Room 803. Permission slips are available from your child's math teacher or in the front office.

We are excited to offer a co-ed Soccer Intramural this Fall for any interested 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. The first session will be held on Tuesday, October 1 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. If your child would like to participate, please complete the attached permission slip and return it to the front

A gentle reminder to drive slowly when dropping off students in the morning. Please be mindful of the crossing guard and follow the signals for traffic flow. Our concern is the safety of our students, parents and staff. Thank you for being safe in our parking lot.

Students in Grades 6, 7 and 8 will be taking the ELA and Math MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) assessment during the week of October 1 (ELA) and October 7 (Math). Students will be assessed during their regular ELA and Math class times. Please contact Ms. Terry if you have any questions or concerns.

Picture Day Retakes will be held on Wednesday, October 16. If you have your portraits retaken on this day, the entire portrait package must be returned. Dear HCMS Community, Following a custodial inspection at HCMS, the Office of the Environment identified mold growth (approximately six linear feet) while investigating an odor on September 25, 2019. The mold growth is located behind cove base in a storage closet and a conference room within the administrative office. A board-approved remediation contractor will be scheduled to remove impacted materials…

August numbers are in...we collected 439 pounds of clothes and shoes! We earned $43.90 for student activities such as field trips, athletic and academic intramurals. Thanks for your support!
